Liar Liar Pants On Fire Mitt or President Obama?

 I don't understand those who refuse to look at the evidence at hand when talking about the Presidential Candidates for the upcoming election.  The facts are very clear and yet many people have blinders on.  The lies that have been proven time and time again (caught ON video and in interviews) with Mitt Romney befuddles my mind when there are those who will still vote for him.

Have people forgotten how to do their research to find the facts out for themselves?  It seems to me the info is usually gathered from one source.  In this day and age where the internet is alive and well and there is so much information that can be gathered and assessed from all angles, wouldn't the smart choice be to find out about all info regarding the next leader of our country?  We have access to so much information that we can dig up and search for the truth and yet many don't.

The so called experts say blah blah blah, but do YOU know who that so called expert is?  Just because they are on the TV or in the media doesn't mean they know.  Most, unfortunately, are paid puppets by BIG corporations and to find out who they are, you have to dig, really dig!  And when we do, then we can take all the info and decide from there, but until we get our info from more places than just one source, a person's view will always be one sided.

Do your homework.  Figure out who is telling the truth by their actions, not their words.

No matter where you stand on abortion, how do YOU feel about rape?  Is Senator Akin out of his mind?  Does a woman's body shuts down when it is a "legitimate" rape so she can't get pregnant?  Did this guy take sex ed 101?  Apparently he failed miserably.  I need a refill!

The Top 24 Says Who?

Watching the U.S. women's gymnastics at the Olympics last night, I was surprised to hear of a new rule (not that new as it's been in place since 2004).  Only the top 2 scoring gymnast from each country will make it to the all around competition at a chance to win the prestigious gold medal.  Huh?  But that makes the gymnast not really the top 24 in the world.  I mean I guess you could say it is, but is that really the truth or is it even fair?

The top 24 no matter how many come from any particular country, should be, the top 24.  These athletes who have trained and sacrificed all their lives for this moment shouldn't be denied by points among their own team, but should be on a level playing field with the entire world.

I felt the sadness and frustration of the reining World Champion, Jordyn Wieber, through the TV screen as her dreams of a shot at being an Olympic Gold All Around Gymnast was crushed by this 2 per country rule.

I guess a rule is a rule and not all is fair.  Jordyn was a smidgen (.126) off her game, and on the other side of it, Gabby Douglas was at her best.

I think I'll have another cup and contemplate the meaning of what it takes to be a true champion in the Olympics.

Awareness 101 with Caffe

Bouncing around the BlogSphere as I sometimes do, I hopped on over to one of our own writers, Caffeinated OC Mommy's blog... I couldn't believe my eyes!  Her newest post should have been posted here at the Convoy!  "Chit Chat That Matters", that's OUR thing, so Caffe, I stole your post and put it up here.  Hope you don't mind, I'll make it up to you.  New lipstick maybe?  Here's to you and awareness, and as you say, "Cups Up!"

Awareness Makes for Excellent Mommys!

Buenos Dias my Dear Friend... Thanks for stopping by!  Spanish Caffe?  Yes, spanish Darling, I’m feeling a bit spicy today or maybe like the weather down under... HOT!  Come make yourself comfy as I’ve got a blend to fill your cup with that by the time it’s empty, we may have steam coming out of our ears... Okay, maybe I already have steam coming out of my ears and I may need to switch to decaf!

I’ve been feeling a bit, mmmm, how shall I say it... well... angry!  No Darling, not at you of course, never at you.  I’m frustrated at our current situation about how our country does their business!  Not just over the business of stale mate politics in Washington, but a combination of greedy corporations, uninformed consumers, greedy corporations, and did I mention greedy corporations? 

Now you know me Darling, I’m all for sexy MILF talk, I’m up for juicy conversations involving bad Mommys, heck... I’m even up for screaming at Adele for singing to my Hubby, but I just can’t not talk to you about our countries current situation just because it will make me ‘P C’... besides, when am I ever politically correct anyways??  Oh Caffe, be careful what you say...

I don’t think I need to be careful when all I’m doing is informing you... my close, personal, Dear Dear Friend!  I just want what’s best for you and if we can chat about things that matter, then that makes our friendship that much stronger.

The reason I sit upon my high horse as one hater has proclaimed that I did and write the things I do... you know... I tell Mommys to wise up, I talk about bad parenting... the list is endless when it comes to topics about being a Good Mommy is because I’m an excellent Mommy who is aware of the environment around me.  What the heck are you talking about Caffe?!  Being aware makes a good Mommy and I’m very aware so I must be excellent!

I’ve chatted about awareness before in a Mommy Lesson, but the awareness I’m talking about today is this...

Did you know that the cosmetic industry is not regulated?  Do you know what that means Darling?  It means that the cosmetic industry is self regulated and that they can put anything they want on their labels...anything!  This means they can use the words, Natural or Safe or anything they want and they don’t have to mean it.  Wonderful huh?  This includes shampoos, lotions, cosmetics... LIPSTICKS!!!  And guess where many unwanted and harmful chemicals are found?... BABY SHAMPOO.  

Do you know what GMOs are?  Uh huh, you’ve maybe seen the label on a food package in the health food aisle, it may say something like this... NO GMO or NO GE.  Genetically Modified Organisms or Genetically Engineered.  You don’t want GMOs in your food or your children's.  Why? and what does that mean?

  

The food has been tampered with and chemically changed, which changes the structure or proteins of that food and when you think you are feeding your family with a healthy meal... you’re not!  Because the proteins have changed, your body doesn’t recognize what it is and in turn doesn’t get the nutritional value that is so needed in our daily diets.

Guess what?  Food manufacturers don’t need to label their foods that have been genetically modified.  That makes me want to throw a cup of boiling liquid onto the heads of those who feel we Mommys don’t need to know what we serve our families!

How dare they!  And everyone wonders why our kids have so many allergies... OOOOHHHH, I just want to scream and wake everyone up!!

These are only a couple of examples of greedy, nationwide corporations not caring about the welfare of the next generation... our children.  The only thing that matters to them, is how fat their pocketbooks get!  I’m mad as hell that people are not aware of these on going situations, but this information I have brought to you is not easily accessible and I blame the big companies for not being transparent.

  

I am not going to refill my cup... I’m too frustrated and my lipstick is muddled and probably filled with lead!  I hope you take our little chat seriously, as we Mommys need to stick together and help each other become more aware of our surroundings and who is on our side and who is not.

I’m on your side Darling... I want us to be able to make a positive difference in our families lives and one of the best ways to do that is... awareness... Until next time my FABulous Friend... Ta Ta!

United We Stand

Watching the State of the Union Speech, I felt pride going through my body as the President talked about the American Flag that was signed by the Seals who took down Osama Bin Laden.  I agreed that it didn't matter what color your skin was, what party you vote for, man... woman, straight... gay.  You help who's next to you, you watch each other's back.  This President is thinking about our country as a "whole" not as a divide.

Isn't that what America is all about?

Hello Readers of Caffeine Convoy!

TV.  Television.  Tele.  The squak-box.  Whatever you call it, it's all the same and I am so tired of it!  I'm irritated that there are hundreds and hundreds of channels, but only a handful, only a few, couple of stations that are worthwhile to watch!  Maybe I've had a bit to much caffeine while writing this, hmmm...  

These seem to be the only topics on the airwaves lately...

Kim Kardawhateverthef*%#k her name is, making a mockery out of marriage, the scandal about who saw what and the cover up of the filthy Penn State coaches, Herman Cain and ALL the women that are speaking up, REALLY? ANOTHER Housewives' show?  NOooo!  Rick Perry's brain fart moment...  Ghosts and more ghosts?  And I'm not talking about the ghost chillies that Adam what's his name eats up in 10 minutes flat!  Not only is there sh#t on TV, but it's all over the place on Hoarder Town USA!  And PLEASE not another brawl in Snookieville!

This is what captures our interest?  Or is it so in our face that you can't help but to see it when clicking through the never-ending sea of channels?  I know, I know, some of this stuff is current events and it probably is important... I mean, we need to know if our Presidential hopefuls are legit, right?

I have a new name for the TV...  BOOB Tube!  Well, okay, it's not really new, does revamped count?

I think I'll switch to a nice cup of decaf right about now...
