Michelle Bachmann is an alien from the planet Xytoimanidiot. Oh, okay, she’s not an alien, but her views on the national debt might as well be from a far, far away galaxy as she compared the debt to the Holocaust this past Saturday. Huh? Financial troubles = death to many innocent people. Um... yeah... NO! And people CHEERED her on! What is wrong with these people??? Really? We’re really gonna let people like Michelle Bachman spew out such ignorant words and then cheer for her? Good God what is this country coming to?

Bachmann is not an intelligent, deep thinking individual. She surely means well, but her type of ignorance hurts society. But then, sadly, that has never stopped an uninformed public from supporting such people.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you-- we need smart politicians and an ignorant public is no excuse for bad politicians getting elected. As the Dalai Lama recently said about Osama bin Laden, one can have compassion for him, but this does not mean that we shouldn't do something to stop him.
ReplyDeleteSo I meant that I understand that ignorant people many not mean to do badly-- they probably believe they are truly in the right-- however, we still cannot allow ignorant people to run our country and make our laws. We have to stand up and make noise-- insist our public become more informed an thoughtful.
On the other hand, if one just accuses "the other side" of trying to hurt everyone on purpose, no one gets anywhere. It will only cause the other side to dig in deeper instead of reflect upon their beliefs and think twice about them.
